The 2007-2008 Mock Trial team performed valiantly in two competitions January 28th and February 4th, 2008.  Unfortunately, the team lost very close matches against Upper St. Clair and Canevin.  Seniors Trish Ward, Anna Hale, Justin Tomko, Melissa Unger, Keri Hartman led the team with their wealth of experience.  Junior Andrea Weigand was a 2nd year participant and helped acclimate newcomers Kai Chen, Kelsey Hallinen, Sean Brady, and Garrett Lambert, all sophomores.  The team was coached by Social Studies teacher Katie Temme.  Hats off to all participants for all of the hours of hard work and congratulations on another valuable season of competition.

    Baldwin High School Junior Matthew Miller recently received the Eagle Scout award during a ceremony held in his honor.
    Matthew is a member of Boy Scout Troop 326 chartered through St. Albert the Great Church in Baldwin Borough.  He has been a Scout since the 2nd grade.
    The Eagle Scout award is one of the most prestigious awards earned by a Scout.  For his community service project, Matthew, along with fellow Scouts and family, built four wooden benches and two planter boxes for the McKeesport Women’s Butterfly Garden.  U. S. Steel Clairton sponsored his project.
     Matthew is the son of Keith and Chris Miller of Baldwin Borough.
