Apprenticeship Applications

 

Apprenticeship applications are now being accepted for the 2008-09 school year. Students must apply online at http://gateapprenticeship.aiu3.net. See the bulletins or the website for the various programs. Students must apply by May 9th to be considered. Stop in the guidance office if you have any questions.

 

 

Art Honor                             We will be painting banners on Wednesday and Thursday, April 30th and May 1st after school. Please plan to attend at least one of these days.

 

Career Speaker                   Are you interested in a career in respiratory therapy? Ms. Williams and Ms. Price from West Penn Hospital will be here on Thursday, May 8th during 2nd period in the Career Room. Please sign up in the guidance office.

 

Juniors                                  Any junior interested in running for a senior class officer position must attend an informational meeting after school on Wednesday, Aril 30th in Room 301.

 

Red Cross                             Officer applications for the 2008-09 school year are due today. Forms are available in the nurse’s office. Meeting on Wednesday, April 30th, after school. Please plan to attend this important meeting.

                                               

Seniors                                  The Purbalite needs you to submit your forms for the senior supplements. The deadline is Wednesday; to date, we’ve received only five forms.

 

Scholarships                        Applications for the Music Patrons Scholarship for seniors are now available. See Mr. Hall in the guidance office. Deadline is April 29th.

 

                                                The PASBO Scholarship is worth $1500 for the winner, $200 will be split between the second and third place finishers. If you are a senior who will attend college in the fall of 2008 and have at least an overall GPA of 3.25 for your high school career, a combined Reading and Math SAT of 120, and have a strong activities background you may apply. See Mr. Hall for an application. Applications will be due to Mr. Hall by May 10th.

 

Student Council                   There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, April 30th, Gym 3, after school. Important topics will be discussed.
